Elevate Expansion
WE'RE GROWING FOR THE FUTURE OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN THIS COMMUNITY
OUR BEGINNINGS:
Elevate Oregon was founded in 2010, offering mentorship to high school and middle school youth in the Parkrose School District. Our staff began teaching character values and life skills in embedded elective classes during the school day.
By 2021, we were working in all 6 schools in the district. Our deep partnership with PSD enables us to empower youth with in-school curriculum/advocacy as well as after-school and summer programs.
OUR EXPANSION TO DDSD:
In 2023, Elevate Oregon began programming in one 6th grade classroom at Ron Russell Middle School in the David Douglas School District. By January 2025, our mentors were working in 10 schools in the district, including 6 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, and Fir Ridge High School. 2 more schools in DDSD will be added to our rosters this Spring!
OUR 2024 EXPANSION TO NEW DISTRICTS:
In the Spring of 2024, Elevate Oregon placed a mentor at Margaret Scott Elementary School in the Reynolds School District. In the fall, we added a staff member at Salish Ponds Elementary. At the same time, we officially began serving a 7th-grade cohort in Vancouver Public Schools at McLoughlin Middle School.
This expansion is the culmination of years of preparation and planning by our Board of Directors and Leadership. We are thrilled to be empowering more students and engaging more families in the East Metro area.
